چکیده

In an automated feature-based motion analysis of multiple frames, correspondence da ta are usually noisy and fragmented. We developed a technique that gradually refines the initial noisy correspondence d a t a and links fragments of a single trajectory using feedback from 3-0 motion estimation. First, 3-0 motion parameters are estimated using the initial correspondence data. Then, each noisy trajectory is partitioned into subsets of points each of which conforms t o the estimated motion. The best set is used as the input t o the next motion estimation. This process is repeated and the gaps in the refined correspondence data are fi l led b y guidance from the predicted motion. Test results for a standard real image sequence are presented.

Nonrigid Motion Analysis Based on Dynamic Refinement of Finite Element Models

ÐIn this paper, we propose new algorithms for accurate nonrigid motion tracking. Given an initial model representing general knowledge of the object, a set of sparse correspondences, and incomplete or missing information about geometry or material properties, we can recover dense motion vectors using finite element models. The method is based on the iterative analysis of the differences between...

Robot Motion Vision Part II: Implementation

The idea of Fixation introduced a direct method for general recovery of shape and motion from images without using either feature correspondence or optical flow [1,2]. There are some parameters which have important effects on the performance of fixation method. However, the theory of fixation does not say anything about the autonomous and correct choice of those parameters. This paper presents ...

Noise Robust Motion Refinement for Motion Compensated Noise Reduction

A motion refinement algorithm is proposed to enhance motion compensated noise reduction (MCNR) efficiency. Instead of the vector with minimum distortion, the vector with minimum distance from motion vectors of neighboring blocks is selected as the best motion vector among vectors which have distortion values within the range set by noise level. This motion refinement finds more accurate motion ...
